Mr Ron Rowe AIL <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br /> 445 North San Joaquin Street E11111RONMCNTAL HEALTH <br /> q <br /> Stockton, California 95201-0388 PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> JUNE 12, 1995 SOILS EXCAVATION, SAMPLING & TESTING <br /> T & T TRUCKING <br /> 11396 North Highway 99 <br /> Lodi, California <br /> WKA No 2923 04 <br /> Dear Mr Rowe, <br /> We are in receipt of your June 28, 1995 letter addressed to Terry Tarditi at T & T <br /> Trucking As discussed in your letter, limited field work occurred onsite on June <br /> 12, 1995 and included 1) collecting soil samples from the sidewalls and bottom <br /> of the existing excavation (Plate 1), 2) collecting composite stockpile soil <br /> samples from the existing stockpiled soil (Plate 2), and 3) testing all soil samples <br /> Additional details of the field work are provided below <br /> aq <br /> o The former tank excavation presently measures 23 feet by 24 feet <br /> Geotechnical Engineering and is 16 feet deep A 2-foot wide, 8-foot long trench that is 16 <br /> feet deep extends to the south of the excavation A total of 10 soil <br /> Engineering Geology samples (EX1 through EX10) were collected from the excavation on <br /> June 12 using clean, two-inch diameter, six-inch long brass tubes <br /> Environmental Consulting driven into soil obtained from each sample location with a backhoe <br /> Remediation Services bucket using a wooden mallet The tubes were sealed with <br /> poly tetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)-coated sheets and plastic end caps to <br /> Construction Inspection reduce volatile hydrocarbon loss, placed in an ice chest containing <br /> r. <br /> Materials Testing ice, and submitted under chain-of-custody to a California-certified <br /> laboratory Selected samples were analyzed for Total Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline using EPA method 8015, and for <br /> 3 <br /> Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Total Xylenes (BTEX), using <br /> 3050 Industrial Blvd EPA method 8020 Chain-of-custody documentation and laboratory <br /> 4 <br /> �� reports are appended A summary of test results is included as <br /> 01 West Sacramento <br /> • Table 1 <br /> t CA 95691 <br /> Fax 916 372 2565 .
