Box 388 • Stockton, CA 95201-0388 iii 6'W
(209) 468-3420
May 26, 1994
PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF FINDINGS REGARDING
SITE MITIGATION PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a corrective action plan for
remediation of an underground leaking storage tank site located at
14800 S. Hwy 99, Manteca, in the County of San Joaquin (APN 197-
020-04) on the west side of Highway 99, and north of Lathrop Road,
has been reviewed by San Joaquin County Public Health Services,
Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) . The plan is a proposal
for mitigation of hazardous substances which contaminated the site
due to unauthorized releases associated with underground storage
tanks (UST) which were located on the property.
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division, Local UST Oversight Program, has made a tentative
determination that the plan is in compliance with local, State and
Federal laws and regulations and that the resultant work will not
create significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed the
benefits to be gained from cleanup of the contamination.
The corrective action plan is available for public review at the
City of Manteca Public Library, 320 W. Center Street, Manteca,
during their hours of operation and PHS/EHD, 445 N. San Joaquin
Street, Stockton, California, during normal working hours, 8:00
a.m. - 5:00 p.m. If a written request by any member of the public
for a public hearing is not received by PHS/EHD by June 26, 1994
the tentative decision shall become final on that date and time.
All requests for public hearings must be filed in writing to
PHS/EHD at P.O. Box 388, Stockton, 95201-0388. Questions regarding
the specific site concerns or procedures should be directed to
Margaret Lagorio, Senior REHS, at (209) 468-3449.
A Minion of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
