This site assessment consisted of the drilling
of two soil borings, installation of two monitoring wells and the collection of soil and water.arnple.s
from the soil borings and monitoring wells. 'rhe results of the work performed by ETS is presented
in the following sections.
2,LSoll IloJlops
Two soil borings(in which monitoring wells MW-I and%1W-2 were installed)were drilled by means
of a hollow-stem auger to a total depth of 49 and 45 feet respectively. Soil samples were taken at
five-foot intervals b_ means of a California modified split-spoon sampler. Figure 2 shows the
location of the soil borings and monitoring wells. Boring Logs for the soil borings are presented in
Appendix A.
~ Soil samples collected from the soil borings were analyzed by a California-certified laboratory for
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX), 1,2-dichloroethane (EDC), ethylene dibromide
(EDB)and total petroleum hydrocarbons(TPH)by EPA Method 524.2/$240. Results of the analyses
are summarized in Table 1. Laboratory reports for soil analyses are presented in Appendix B.
As shown in Table I results of all soil sample analyses are below action levels for total petroleum
hydrocarbons(TPI1).
..... .... . . .. .......... .. .....
