Hwy 99 Frontage Rd RO#:1570
Stockton, CA. 95212
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has received the Master
File Record (MFR) and fee as requested in our May 25, 2004 correspondence. Your site
has been entered into our Underground Injection Control Program (UIC) and will remain
an open case until the required investigation is deemed adequate by EHD.
In our May 25, 2004 correspondence, EHD offered you two options to complete the
required investigation and instructed you to have and environmental consulting firm
submit a plan describing the chosen investigation. Included with the MFR was a short
note that mentioned, "well water tested". EHD interprets this to mean that you have
chosen the alternative of having your well water tested.
Activities involving site assessment require a professional level of expertise. Work
(sampling of wells) and reports related to closure of this case must be signed by a
California registered geologist (R.G.) or professional engineer (P.E.). In order to
proceed with actually testing the well, you should have your environmental consultant
submit a short work plan/proposal to EHD that describes how the well will sampled, who
will sample the well, and what EPA Methods will be utilized. At the very least, the
analytes noted in the May 25, 2004 correspondence must be included.
EHD will comment on the plan and approve it or notify you of the modifications needed
to comply with the investigation. You will be notified in writing of our comments and
approval decision. Your consultant may then schedule the date and time with EHD for
the sampling. EHD must be present at the sampling.
If you have any questions, you should contact Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Enviro ental Health De t
e,d4
Michael J.
