At that point, Mr. Wong asked the <br /> secretary to(call Carol Eisenbeis, Quality Control Supervisor, at her home and ask <br /> Ms. Eisenbe�s to come into TVG for the inspection. According to Mr. Wong, Ms. <br /> Eisenbeis w s working on many of the hazardous waste activities including the <br /> training and contingency plans. <br /> While we a aited the arrival of Ms. Eisenbeis, Mr. Wong gave us a general <br /> description f the TVG plant. Mr. Wong stated TVG was a growers cooperative, <br /> canning the 'es and tomatoes. <br /> Although M Eisenbeis had not arrived, Mr. Wong decided to begin the inspection <br /> of TVG. Mr1. Wong, Ms. Foley and I left the office and started across the black <br /> topped yard.) We were joined by Carol Eisenbeis I asked Mr. Wong if I could have <br /> a copy of thsite map to follow during the inspection. Mr. Wong stated there was <br /> a map and a ked Ms. Eisenbeis to bring me a copy. <br /> Mr. Wong &ided Ms. Foley and me to the lift shop and oil storage area. There <br /> were approximately twenty (20), 55 gallon drums stored on the South side of the <br /> lift shop. Waste oil, solvent and food grade oil were stored together. Ms. Foley and <br /> I discussed the proper handling and separation of food grade oil and waste oil. <br /> None of the I waste drums had the proper hazardous waste labels. There was <br /> puddling of waste oil on the ground from over spill or waste oil drum leakage. As <br /> Ms. Foley ani I stepped inside the lift shop, I observed the dirt floor was heavily <br /> saturated wi h waste oil. I informed Mr. Wong I would have to fill out a <br /> Proposition 5 notification on the waste oil spillage in and around the lift shop. mr. <br /> Wong stated the lift shop was run by another company, Valley Lift 3200 E. Eight <br /> Mile Rd. I t Id him TVG was the property owner and the responsible party. <br /> Ms. Eisenbei ' brought a copy of the site map. Mr. Wong pointed out our location <br /> on the site ap. Mr. Wong then escorted us to the drum storage area where old <br /> chemicals ha been placed prior to shipment. Mr. Wong stated TVG had shipped <br /> some old the 'cals under manifest in 1989. The old stored chemicals did not have <br /> proper labeli g. If the old chemicals are not to be used as product, then hazardous <br /> waste labels hould be applied. <br /> Finally, Mr. ong guided Ms. Foley and me into the lab where the computer was <br /> located. Ms. isenbeis showed us on the computer the start of TVG's training and <br /> contingency lans. Ms. Foley and I told Mr. Wong and Ms. Eisenbeis the training <br /> and contingency plans needed to be implemented as soon as possible. Employee <br /> training must be documented. The present training at TVG consists of weekly safety <br /> meetings hel by Bob Hancock. <br /> There were sc me hazardous waste manifests onsite in the TVG plant lab. According <br />
