2. TVG enerates solvent wastes associated with the repair and maintenance of <br /> cann ry equipment. The solvents are picked up by Safety IQeen. In 1989, <br /> TVG enerated 8,600 gallons/32.25 tons of solvent waste for recycling. <br /> 3. TVG reats and discharges chlorine, Sot caustic soda with cannery wastes <br /> into olding ponds. <br /> 4. TVG has on site old chemicals which are awaiting proper disposal by a <br /> Hazardous Waste Hauler. In 1989, TVG shipped 2.0 tons of old chemicals <br /> under hazardous waste manifest by Van Waters and Rogers, 2256 Junction <br /> Ave., San Jose. California, 95131. <br /> 5. TVG �enerates waste oil from the repair of fork lifts and plant equipment. <br /> The aste oil is hauled by American Oil, P.O. Box 625, Pleasanton, <br /> Califo a, 94566 for recycling. <br /> VII. VIOLATION : <br /> 1. Califomia Health and Safety Code, Section 25189.5 (a). <br /> (a) Hazardous materials are being handled improperly in and around the <br /> lift shop. This has resulted in a discharge of hazardous waste to the <br /> ground, contaminating the soil in and around the lift shop. <br /> 2. Title �2, California Code of Regulations (CCR), Section 67140, et seq. <br /> (a) At the time of inspection, TVG did not have a contingency plan. <br /> 3. Title �2, CCR, Section 67105. <br /> (a) At the time of inspection, TVG did not have a personnel training <br /> program. <br /> 4. Title ?2, CCR, Section 66508 (a), (1), (2), (3), and (4). <br /> (a) At the time of inspection, there were 55 gallon drums of solvent and <br /> waste oil stored without labels or accumulation start dates. <br /> (b) At the time of inspection, TVG had old chemicals to be shipped as <br /> hazardous waste without labels or accumulation start dates. As per <br /> Jeff Wong on February 25, 1991, all old and historical chemicals have <br /> been manifested and shipped as hazardous waste as of October 16, <br /> 1990. <br /> VIII.
