WASTE DISCHARGE REQ IREMENTS <br /> TRI VALLEY GROWERS, PLANT NO. 4 <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 10. This Order shall serve as a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System <br /> permit pursuant to Section 402 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, or <br /> amendments thereto, and shall take effect ten days from the date of hearing <br /> provided the Regional Administrator has no objections. <br /> IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, Tri Valley Growers, Plant No. 4, in order to meet the provisions <br /> contained in Division 7 of the California Water Code and regulations adopted there- <br /> under and the provisions of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act and regulations <br /> and guidelines adopted thereunder, shall comply with the following: <br /> A. Effluent Limitations, Cooling and Condensate Water <br /> 1. The discharge of an effluent in excess of the following limits is pro- <br /> hibited: <br /> 30-Day Daily <br /> Constituent Up-its Average Maximum <br /> Settleable Matter ml/l 0.1 0.2 <br /> B.O.D. The discha ge shall not have a pH less than 6.5 nor greater than 8.5. <br /> 3. The maximum daily discharge shall not exceed 1.2 mgd. <br /> 4. Bypass or overflow of untreated or partially treated waste is prohibited. <br /> 5. The discharger shall use the best practicable cost effective control., <br /> technique aurrently available to limit mineralization to no more than a <br /> reasonable increment. <br /> B. Effluent Limit tions, Process Wastes <br /> 1. The discharge of wastes other than cooling or condensate water to surface <br /> waters or 3urface water drainage courses is prohibited. <br /> 2.
