DESCRIPTION The Stockton Yar , part of the Feather River Division Service Unit, is located at Milepost 92 in Stockton, California. The yard is situated approximately 1 mile east of I-5 in the San Joaquin Valley, as shown On Figure 1. Stockton Yard rails are oriented approximately north -south. Boundaries of the major oil use areas include East Charter Way and residential and commercial structures to the north. A drainage ditch, referred to in this plan as the upper extension of walker slough and Duck Creek, defines the approximate eastern boundary of the yard, with residential structures further east. Walker Slough (Duck Crek) defines the approximate southern boundary of the Stockton Yard. The west side of the yard is ordered by Southern Pacific Railroad tracks and residential and commercial structures. The nearest navig ble water is Walker Slough, bordering the yard to the east and south and intersecting with french Camp Slough approximately 1-1/2 miles west of the yard. These waterways drain i to the San Joaquin River. The portion oft a Stockton Yard that contains oil material storage and usage areas is approximately 1-14 miles long. The entire yard plan, entitled "Station Map New Stockton Terminal Lands, rracks and Structures, the Western Pacific Railroad Company," dated December 21, 192 and corrected as of December 31, 1962, is located in Union Pacific Railroad's Omaha, Nebraska ffices. Relevant portions of the yard plan are included with this SPCC plan as Figures 2, 3, an 4.
