The overall topographic slope of the yard is downward to the west. Specific yard topography <br />is shaped by desig yard drainage and raised railbeds. <br />The main purpose of the yard are locomotive service and fueling, car loading, and switching. <br />Car repair and cab ose stove oil filling occur at the repair track (one spot). Gasoline is stored in <br />this area, referred t as Area 1 Repair Track on Figure 2. Diesel is stored in five tanks in a tank <br />farm in Area 3 - iesel Storage. Locomotive engine fueling and servicing takes place at the <br />Diesel Shop, Area . Diesel and lube oil are loaded onto locomotives at the fueling racks, and <br />lube oil is stored o the east side of the diesel shop building. Journal box and air compressor oils <br />are also stored in a proximately 200- to 300 -gallon reusable, portable totes and utilized in this <br />area. Drainage fro the diesel storage and diesel shop areas is directed to the Separation Plant <br />- Area 2. Waste oil and sludge are removed from accumulated drainage at the separation plant. <br />As indicated on Nures 2, 3, and 4, four major oil material usage areas are identified for the <br />purposes of this SPPC Plan. These areas are described below and summarized in Table 1. <br />Area 1 - Re air Tr ck: Caboose stove oil is stored and loaded in this area. Gasoline is also <br />stored and loaded i to track service vehicles. <br />Area 2 - Se aratio Plant: Waste oils, water, and sludge from diesel storage and diesel shop <br />areas are treated ani separated at the separation plant. <br />Area 3 - Diesel Stoi a e: Diesel fuel is stored in Tank No. 6, surrounded by a containment dike. <br />Diesel is pumped through the pump skids (J and L) into Tank No. 6 and to the engine fueling <br />rack (M) in Area 4. <br />Area 4 - Diesel Sho : Locomotive engines are serviced in the diesel shop building. Engines are <br />fueled and loaded vith lube oil and journal box oil at the engine fueling rack (M) west of the <br />diesel shop building. Clean lube oil and used lube oil are stored in lube oil tanks Nos. 11 and <br />12 on the east side c f the diesel shop building.
