Canyon Subdivi
MP 298.5 (East
FEATHER RIVER CANYON
Key Waterways and Rail Access Points
Tunnel 35 near Sloat) to MP 277.8 (Paxton)
The Estray, Green om, and Spanish Creeks flow generally parallel to the mainline although
the distance between the right of way and the stream varies greatly in this segment. These
streams generally flow into each other (Estray to Greenhorn to Spanish) and gradually
increase flow and velocity until they join with the Indian Creek at Paxton to form the North
Fork of the Feathe River.
Access to the Estr and Greenhorn is generally available but becomes more restricted as the
Spanish Creek gal s velocity and cuts deeper into the surrounding hills.
I
MP 298.5 - MP 297.18
Tunnel 35
MP 296.50
- Spring
Garden siding access from Highway 70
MP 294.50
- Greenhorn
Creek flows under ROW
MP 293.75
- Wetlands
MP 298.50
- Spariish
Creek flows under ROW
MP 287.00
- Spanish
Creek flows under ROW
MP 289.75
- Taylor
Creek crossing access point
MP 284.00
- M11
286.00 Recreational Camp access
MP 281.00
- Ke
die Resort Road (from Highway 70)
MP 277.50
- P
ton (access from Highway 70)
7
