Union Pacific Railroad
contai ed in local topographic lows.
Facility Signifi ant undiked oil use areas at the yard drain to the
Drainage separa ion plant through the yard drainage system or to
Desc: local to ographic lows. Drainage within the WWTP (IW -1) is
by ove land flow back to the oil trap. The majority of the
diesel hop area (VM1-4) drains into the industrial sewer
toward the separation plant. Drainage entering the yard
system flows by gravity to the sump north of the diesel shop
area. A float gauge automatically activates the sump pump
to pum the accumulated liquids to the WWTP plant. Some
drainag on the southeast side of the shop building flows to
the local low sump and is also directed to the WWTP plant.
Drainag at the plant is directed to the oil trap and oil is
skimme off and pumped into the used oil tank (TNKO-
0295). aste water is pumped through the main process
pumps o system treatment. Sludge is accumulated in the
sludge t nk (TNKO-0294) and then properly disposed.
Hazardous Hazard us materials used at the site are limited to a 5
Material gallon c ntainer of gasoline which fuels the portable high
Desc: pressur steam cleaner.
Hazardous Used of is considered hazardous waste in California and is
Waste Desc: accumul ted in Tank TNKO-0295. Process sludge sometimes
meets t e hazardous waste criteria. It is stored in tank
TNKO-0 94. No other hazardous wastes are routinely
generat d at this facility.
Containment The sep ration plant area slopes down to the oil trap,
Structures where a cumulated liquids are recycled through the
Desc: separati n plant.
Security Lighting High level alarms.
Systems
Desc:
Escape There a two available routes for vehicles. Either north to
Route Desc: the 3rd treet entrance or south to the 8th Street entrance.
Comment:
Last User: OENVO14
Last Update: 01 -Apr -
2009
https://home.www.uprr.coWemp/engineering/emg/apps/secure/ceps/cfm/reports/info fac.cfm 4/1/2009
