Untitled <br />introduction <br />The following sections describe <br />Facility. <br />: procedures to be followed in the event of a major emergency involving hazardous waste at the <br />The Emergency Coordinator or his designated alternate will assess the hazardous waste emergency incident and determine if <br />immediate notification of the local police/county sheriff, the City/County Fire Department and/or the State Highway Patrol is <br />necessary to protect areas outside e facility or to obtain assistance with internal incident responses. <br />Based on the history of hazardous aste generation and management prior to off-site disposal, it is not anticipated that an incident <br />involving the release of hazardous aste at the facility is likely to result in an impact to the adjacent community or the freeway. <br />Action Plan - Hazardous Waste Release Threat to Areas Outside the Facility <br />In the event that a release of hazarous waste may pose at threat to areas outside the facility or assistance is required to address the <br />release within the facility, the Pri ary Emergency Coordinator will take one or more of the following steps: <br />1. If incident involves offsite relea�e, serious injury, or threat thereof, notify the local police/county sheriff. (see emergency contact <br />list) <br />2. Consult with the City/County F�e Department Incident Commander (9-1-1) and the police/sheriff Office representative to decide <br />whether, and to where, local areas utside the Facility should be evacuated. <br />3.
