DEPTH OF GROUND WATER <br /> Depth of ground water established by records of <br /> September, 1977, indicate the level to be 46 feet below <br /> grade. <br /> There is currently stockpiled or, site approximately 190 <br /> cubic yards of contaminated soil. We propose excavating <br /> to a depth of 28 feet. We intend to enlarge the lateral <br /> i= extent of the excavation 15 feet in each direction, as <br /> illustrated on the attached drawings. The additional <br /> estimated volume to be generated is 1500 cubic yards. <br /> We propose 3 samples per 50 cubic yards of material (One <br /> �) sample per truck load [15-17 cu yards each] . ) , to be <br /> composited by California Water Labs with the soil stored <br /> in 50 cubic yard blocks in designated areas in order to <br /> facilitate possible treatment/disposal . REMEDIAL STEPS <br /> The sail adjacent to tank location shall be excavated by <br /> means of a backhoe/excavator to a depth of twenty-eight <br /> (2g) feet in order to remove all contaminated soil for <br /> treatment.. Sail from the bottom and sidewalls of the <br /> excavation will be analyzed in accordance with sampling <br /> procedures as described in San Joaquin Local Health <br /> District, Option #1 , "Re-excavation" . Samples will be <br /> obtained by California Water Labs technician from the <br /> excavator/backhoe bucket. Per San Joaquin Local Health <br /> District guidelines, all samples will be analyzed far <br /> the following: <br /> 1. TPH-G, GC-FID (5030) <br /> 2. BTX & E (8020) <br /> - --- <br /> 4. EAB (DOHS) <br />
