.w
16 July 2009
AGE-NC Project No. 08-1606
Currently, AGE has submitted the necessary drilling permits for all on-site well installations and is
attempting to acquire access agreements with the owners of adjacent properties for off-site well
instalations. On-site monitoring well installations are scheduled to take place the week of 20 July
2009.
A continued effort is being made to obtain access agreements from adjacent property owners.Access
agreements for the proposed locations of MW-15 through MW-17,have been denied by Mr.Vincent
Erardi the owner of parcel 139-05-012 (see map attached). Additional efforts have been made to
contact the property owner of parcel 139-05-008,which is a potential alternate location for proposed
wells MW-15 through MW-17. AGE has been able to make contact with the property owner and
begun discussions to gain access to the property for the proposed well installations. If the property
verbally agrees to allow access, AGE will submit a work plan addendum to SJCEHD.
AGE is also negotiating with the property owner of parcel 139-05-009 for the installation of
proposed monitoring wells MW-13 and MW-14. The original proposed locations were not
acceptable to the owner due to concerns of traffic and other access issues. AGE has proposed to
modify the locations of the proposed wells out of the way of flowing traffic to the southeastern most
corner of the property line. As of 16 July 2009,AGE is awaiting the final response from the property
owner. If access agreements are signed by the property owner AGE will submit the applicable
permits and commence with the proposed installations. If the access agreements are denied, AGE
will submit alternate permits and move the locations into the city right-of way as proposed as an
alternative in the SJCEHD-approved work plan.
AGE will submit a technical report to SJCEHD upon completion of the well installations to present
the findings and results. Included in the report will be recommendations for the next scope of work
as applicable to the site.
All wells, including the newly installed wells, will be monitored and sampled during the third quarter
2009 and subsequently semi-annually thereafter.AGE proposes the semi-annual monitoring events
to occur in the third and first quarters with semi-annual monitoring reports to be submitted twice
each year. Based upon the results of the monitoring event scheduled in the third quarter 2009,AGE
will propose a reduction of sampling for specific wells in the site's ground water monitoring well
network.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
