The following are some discrepancies noted during the inspection of
the sampling.
T e annular seal in monitoring well #4, 5, 6, and 7, drilled March 7J ,
--Mb-
19944 have subsided approximately 3 -tie tra==ic Dox. _
K ditional neat cement grout material must be installed so that the annular
seal is flush with the traffic box. This material may be installed during the
next regular quarterly sampling event which encompasses the months of June
through August 31, 1994.
The laboratory sampler, Pat Delano, was experiencing some technical
difficulties during the sampling event resulting in the rapid decanting of
bailed monitoring well water into the sampling vials (VOAs) .
The device used for sampling groundwater samples can influence the accuracy
and representativeness of water quality determinations that are made on those
samples. The device should have good flow controllability to permit low flow
rates (less than or equal to 100 milliliters per minute) for sampling volatile
chemical constituents.
Should the first quarter monitoring results differ from the field observations
noted during the drilling activities of March, 1994, additional groundwater
samples will be requested.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (209) 468-3452.
onna Heran, REHS, Director
nvironm ntal Health Division
Di ne M.
