The RAP includes design plans and specifications to install a soil vapor <br /> extraction (SVE) and a groundwater extraction (GWE) system and also includes a proposal to <br /> install four additional GWE Neils and one additional SVE well. <br /> The RAP is adequate and necessary [H&S 25296.10(c)(3)] and tentatively approved by the <br /> EHD. <br /> California Underground Storage Tank (UST) Regulations [CCR, Title 23, Section 2728(a)] <br /> require that sites entering into a corrective action provide notice to the public and allow a period <br /> of time for the public to co me t. If no objections to the CAP are received at EHD during the <br /> public comment period, thetentatively approved corrective action plan can be fully approved. If <br /> there is sufficient public in erest and if any member of the public requests, EHD may hold a <br /> public meeting to discuss the site and address the public's concerns. <br /> Please provide EHD with a single page Executive Summary. The summary should be written <br /> on non-letterhead white paper and written in non-technical language for ease of understanding <br /> by the general public. Included in the summary should be an explanation of past and current <br /> uses of the site, a description of the technologies proposed for remediation, and an estimate of <br /> the time period the remediation will require. EHD will review the Executive Summary and after <br /> approval, will provide Public Notification as necessary. At a minimum, the Executive summary <br /> and a Notice of Findings will be posted at the site and at the EHD office for the public to view. <br /> You will be notified during the process and the outcome of the notification period. <br /> Thank you for your continued cooperation with the investigative and remedial requirements of <br /> this site.
