1
' 26 May 2004
AGE-NC Project No 96-0229
' • The highest concentrations of off-site dissolved MTBE were detected northeast of the site
from well MW-6(screened 25 to 45 feet bsg),additional off-site MTBE concentrations were
observed at wells MW-7, MW-9, MW-10 (A and B) and MW-11
• Due to the significant MTBE concentrations detected near the UST tank pit area from well
MW-1 and from down-gradient well MW-10B, the dissolved MTBE plume is vertically
' undelineated on-site and down-gradient from the site (Figure 5)
• Since monitoring wells MW-1,MW-IOB,MW-13 (A-D)and MW-14(A-D)are `drowned',
these wells should yield samples representative of deeper ground water conditions Deeper
ground water in the area of MW-1 (48 to 53 feet bsg) is impacted by significant TPH-g,
BTEX, 1,2-DCA and MTBE, ground water in the area of downgradient well MW-10B is
impacted by MTBE, ground water in the area of MW-13 (A, B and D) and MW-14A
detected low concentrations of TPH-g and BTEX
• Significant 1,2-DCA was detected in the sample collected from well MW-I (screened 48 to
53 feet bsg), which implies that dissolved 1,2-DCA is vertically undelineated at the site
' • 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon data collected during August 2003, AGE recommends
• Continued utilization of wells MW-1 through MW-14 for quarterly groundwater monitoring
Iand sampling
Groundwater monitoring of the subject site concurrently with the Pacific Mini Mart(4511
Pacific Avenue)
In October 2003, AGE Installed five additional off-site multi-level ground water monitoring wells
I (MW-15 through MW-19) These wells will be incorporated in subsequent groundwater monitoring
events
Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc
I
