15 February 2002 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 96-0229 <br /> Page 5of12 <br /> screened between 35 and 40 feet bsg and two 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring wells <br /> (MW-11 and MW-12)will be screened between 25 and 45 feet bsg (Figure 2) <br /> Following installation of ground water extraction well EW-1, a 24-hour aquifer pumping test will <br /> be performed at the site to predict a general ground water radius of influence and capture zone during <br /> ground water extraction <br /> Following installation of SVE wells VW-1, VW-2 and VW-3, an 8-hour SVE pilot test will be <br /> performed at the site to predict a general radius of influence during SVE activities <br /> Following installation of IAS well AW-1, a 48-hour IAS pilot test will be performed at the site to <br /> predict a general radius of influence during IAS activities <br /> At the conclusion of the 48-hour IAS pilot test, an 8-hour SVEJAS pilot test will be performed at <br /> the site to monitor for SVE variation during IAS activities <br /> The scope of work will consist of the following tasks <br /> • • Permitting, planning and pre-field work activities, <br /> • Drilling and well installation, <br /> • Performance of a 24-hour ground water aquifer pumping test, <br /> • Performance of an 8-hour SVE pilot test, <br /> • Performance of a 48-hour IAS pilot test, <br /> • Performance of an 8-hour SVE/IAS pilot test, <br /> • Preparation of a Corrective Action Plan, including a Problem Assessment Report and <br /> Remedial Action Plan <br /> 3 1 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be submitted to the SJCEHD As required by SJCEHD <br /> permitting, a health and safety plan will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and <br /> Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational <br /> Safety and Health Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S Environmental Protection Agency, <br /> 1985) Prior to drilling activities, each proposed drilling location will be clearly marked and a utility <br /> • clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert <br /> Advanced Geo Envi ron mental,Inc <br />
