Quarterly Monitoring July 2001 and <br /> SenSltive Receptor Survey Report <br />' Canepa s Car Wash(Pacific Avenue) <br /> Page 10 <br /> 6.3 SCHOOLS <br />' There are two elementary schools identified within the 2,000-foot radius study area (Stockton Unified <br /> School District) <br />' 1 Adams Elementary School (S 1, Figure 11, Appendix A) is located at 6402 Inglewood Avenue, <br /> approximately 1,200 feet northeast of the site <br /> 2 Kohl Elementary (S2, Figure 11, Appendix A) is located at 6324 Alturas Avenue, approximately <br /> 1,800 feet northeast of the site <br /> There are also three facilities that are used for child care and children's activities <br /> I l Quality Care Daycare (CCI, Figure 11, Appendix A) is located at 250 Pearl Avenue, <br /> approximately 800 feet southeast of the site <br /> 2 Creative Child Care-Humpherys College (CC2, Figure I1, Appendix A) is located at 6650 <br /> I Inglewood Avenue, approximately 1,700 feet northeast of the site <br /> 3 Creative Child Care-Creative Pastime Nursery School (CC3, Figure 11, Appendix A) is located <br /> at 1039 Porter Avenue, approximately 1,900 feet southwest of the site <br /> 6 4 UTILITIES <br /> There are three public water utility districts servicing the 2,000-foot site radius the City of Stockton <br /> I Municipal Utilities Department (SMU), California Water Services Company (CA-WS), and San Joaquin <br /> County Utilities (SJU) All three were contacted in order to obtain a list of public water users The <br /> utilities were unable to provide a list of public water users within the 2,000-foot radius due to <br />' confidentia i , nor were ey a e o provide detailed maps of their water sys ems S ' <br /> According to Ed Formosa of SMU, SMU serves the northeastern part of the site radius with only a small <br /> I group of customers on the southern boundary, SJU serves the northwestern part, and CA-WS serves the <br /> southern part of the site radius SJU, when contacted, indicated that they had no wells in the site area <br /> Interviews with residents within the 2,000-foot radius were held to determine whether the neighborhoods <br /> I were on public or private water supply The contacted residents stated that the neighborhoods within the <br /> field reconnaissance were all on public water This could not be verified with each resident, however <br />' 6 5 SITE RECONNAISSANCE <br /> A site reconnaissance of the 2,000-foot radius was conducted on foot and via automobile Selected <br /> residents within the site area were contacted by telephone and in person There are several undocumented <br /> (DWR records) wells in the area <br /> 6 5.1 Municipal Wells r <br /> An approximately 14-inch diameter well (X1, Figure 11, Appendix A) was located on the east side of <br /> Gettysburg Place, north of Douglas Aveiui4 and at the west entrance to the shopping center <br /> Approximately 300 feet south of X I, on the Gettysburg side of the shopping center,there is evidence of a <br /> new well installation (X2, Figure 11, Appendix A) in a fenced-off area with an installed electric power <br /> box, the surface conductor casing lying outside of the fencing was approximately 14 inches in diameter <br /> These wells are approximately 1,300 feet northwest of the site <br />
