I <br /> Quarterly Morntoring Report October 2000 <br /> Canepa s Car Wash(Pacific Avenue) <br /> Page-3 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Field Forms in Appendix B) The purged water from each well was discharged <br /> to the washwater mixing pit <br /> I3 2 GROUNDWATER SAMPLING <br /> The groundwater samples obtained from monitor wells MW-2 and MW-8 were collected by gently <br /> draining the groundwater from each bailer with a bottom-emptying device directly into two 40-milliliter <br /> glass vials <br /> The groundwater samples obtained from MW-1 and MW-3 through MW-7 were collected by filling two <br /> 40-milliliter glass vials with groundwater directly from the pump discharge tubing at a reduced rate The <br /> sample containers were labeled, placed in a cooler chilled with ice, and delivered, in accordance with <br /> chain-of-custody procedures,to GeoAnalytical Laboratories,Inc in Modesto, California, for analyses <br /> I4.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING RESULTS <br /> 4.1 GROUNDWATER ELEVATION CONTOURS <br /> On October 12, 2000, the depth to groundwater was measured in each monitor well prior to the collection <br /> of groundwater samples The average depth to groundwater was approximately 34 9 feet below the well <br /> measuring points The measuring points are slightly below the ground surface The average depth to <br /> groundwater increased approximately 2 1 feet since the previous monitoring event conducted in July <br /> 2000 The groundwater elevations ranged from 21 34 to 22 47 feet below mean sea level (binsl) The <br /> groundwater elevation contour map (Figure 2, Appendix A) indicates groundwater mounding in the <br /> center of the site in the vicinity of MW-I and MW-2 See Table 1 (below) for groundwater elevation <br /> data A hydrograph of groundwater elevations is included as Figure 5, Appendix A Note from the <br /> hydrograph in Figure 6 and a comparison of the top of the well casing screen interval versus the depth to <br /> water in Table 1 that all wells are drowned, i e the water table is 10 to 15 feet above the top of the <br /> screen <br /> i <br /> I <br /> i <br /> iCOND01t <br />
