Canepa's Car Wash
6230 Pacific Avenue,Stockton,CA
Second Quarter Groundwater Monitoring Report,May 2004
Page 4 of 5
. MW-3 decreased, in contrast with the increasing trend for that contaminant during the last six quarters of
monitoring at that well (Figure 6, Attachment A). Contaminant concentrations.in the sample collected
from soil vapor extraction well SV-4 are generally consistent with historic results. Benzene and MTBE
iso-concentration contour maps are included as Figures 4 and 5, respectively; Attachment A. Laboratory
certificates of analyses and chain of custody record are included in Attachment E.
Table 3
Groundwater Sample Laboratory Analytical Results (May 2004)
Constituent: Benzene Toluene Ethyl Total TPH-G MTBE Other Gasoline
Benzene Xylenes Oxygenates/Additives
MCL 1 Pg/L 150 Pg/L 700 Pg/L 1,750 pg/L 13 Pg/L.
Analytical Methods 8260B 8260B 8260B 8260B 8015m 8260B 8260B
Reporting Limits-+ 0.5 pg/L 0.5 gg/L 0.5 pg/L 1.0 pg/L 0.05 0.5 0.5 -20
Sample I.D. mg/L Pg/L pg/L
1707-MW 1-517104 740 37 25 45 1.7 160 < 1.0-<40
1707-MW2-5/7/04 7,800 420 2,100 2,560 47 <1.0 < 1.0-<40
1707-MW3-517104 <1.0 <1.0 <1.0 <2.0 <0.05 600 < 1.0-<40
49(1,2-DCA)
1707-MW4-517/04 2.3 <0.5 <0.5 <1.0 <0.05 <0.5 <0.5 -<20
1707-MW9-5/7104 <0.5 <0.5 <0.5 <1.0 <0.05 <0.5 <0.5 -<20
• 1707-M W 11-517104 2.2 <0.5 4.9 2.9 0.15 2.3 <0.5 -<209.2 TBA
1707-MW 12D-517/04 <0.5 <0.5 <0.5 <1.0 <0.05 <0.5 <0.5 -<20
1707-SVE4-517104 85,000 81,000 5,200 24,700 340 370,000 <500-<20,000
Bold analytical data exceed California MCL(Maximum Contaminant Level)
Units: Analytical:
mg/L=milligrams per liter=parts per million(ppm) B,T,E,X=benzene,toluene,ethyl benzene,total xylenes
pg/L=micrograms per liter=parts per billion(ppb) TPH-G=total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline
Gasoline oxygenates/additives= methyl tertiary-butyl ether(MTBE),ethanol,
tertiary-butanol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether (D1PE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether
(ETRE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether(TAME), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA),
1,2-dibromoethane(1,2-EDB)
SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION SYSTEM
The SVE system was shut down on January 31, 2003, to allow for modifications to the system and
property development, and has not been sampled since December 19, 2002. SJEHD approved a remedial
action plan for upgrading the system and installing a groundwater pump and treat system that will operate
in tandem with the upgraded SVE system. Please reference the following section for additional
information regarding the anticipated remediation.
FUTURE WORK
Condor submitted a Problem Assessment Report (PAR) and Corrective Action Plan (CAP), dated October
18, 2002, for the site. The CAP recommended preparation of a Remedial Action Plan (RAP) to describe
• the proposed remediation design. Condor prepared the RAP dated March 3, 2003 and submitted it to the
SJCEHD for approval. In a letter dated October 17, 2003, SJCEHD approved the RAP submitted by
Condor dated March 3, 2003. Condor is currently conducting installation of the treatment systems and
M CONDOR
