i
Additional Soil and Groundwater Investigation Report
Canepa's Car Wash(Pacific Avenue)
January 21,2002
Page 8
well MW-12d was installed to monitor groundwater at 100 to 110 feet bgs based on the results of the
groundwater sample collected at that interval in hydropunch boring HP-2 (described below).
The laboratory analytical results of the groundwater samples collected from the hydropunch borings and
new monitor wells are shown in Table 4, below. The results of the groundwater samples collected from
the monitor wells are described under separate cover(Fourth Quarter Groundwater Monitoring Report,
dated January 14, 2002, prepared by Condor). The results of the groundwater samples collected from the
hydropunch borings indicate that none of the analytes requested were detected at or above the laboratory
reported detection limits in any of the samples with the exception of the sample collected from 11P-2
(100 to 110 feet bgs). BTEX constituents were detected in the HP-2 sample at concentrations ranging
from 1.6 to 5.5 pg/L and TPH-G was detected at a concentration of 53 µg/L.
TABLE 4
IGroundwater Sample Laboratory Analytical Results (September, October,2001)
Groundwater Samples B T E X MTBE TPH-G
' Reporting limits: 0.3 0.3 0.3 0.6 0.5 50
Monitor Well/Sample n/L gg/L gg/L 14g/L 1tgAL gg/L
I.D.
' 1707-HPI-120-125 ND NO NO ND ND* NO
1707-HP2-101-110 2.8 2.7 1.6 5.5 ND* 53
' 1707-HP3-91-95 ND ND ND ND ND* ND
1707-HP4-116-120 ND NO NO NO ND* NO
I1707-HP5-91.5-95 NO ND NO NO ND* ND
1707-HP6-79-83 ND NO NO NO Nil* ND
I1707-HP7-117-120 NO NO NO NO ND* ND
1707-HP8-97-100 NO NO NO NO ND* ND
I1707-HP9-77-80 ND NO ND NO ND's ND
1707-MW9-10125101 NO NO NO NO ND NO
I1707-MW10-10125101 NO ND ND NO ND NO
1707-MW11-10/25/01 390 64 61 140 85 2.4
1707-MW 12d-10/25/0I 17€1 240 72 430 NO 2.4
Unit Conversions: Analytical
µg/L:parts per billion(ppb) B,T,E,X=benzene,toluene,ethyl benzene,and total xylenes.
mg/L:parts per million(ppm) "1'PH-G=total petroleum hydrocarbons,quantified as gasoline.
NA:Not analyzed MT13E=Methyl tertiary-Butyl Ether.
ND:Not detected above the laboratory reporting limit
*All gasoline oxygenates other than MTBE were not detected at or above the laboratory reported detection limits.
i CONDOR
