Site History <br /> Canepa's Car Wash(Pacific Avenue) <br /> Page 7of7 <br /> . increased relative to historic data, consistent with the trend of increasing contaminant concentrations in <br /> that well Condor continued to conduct remediation system planning and permitting activities during early <br /> part of the first quarter of 2004 <br /> Condor conducted second quarter 2004 groundwater monitoring activities at the site on May 7, 2004 <br /> Monitoring wells MW-1 — MW-7, and 1\4W-9 — MW-12D were measured for water level Monitoring <br /> wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW4, MW-9, MW-11, and MW-12D and SVE well SV-4 were sampled <br /> during the event, consistent with the quarterly schedule Groundwater elevation data and laboratory <br /> analytical results were generally consistent with historic groundwater monitoring data The concentrations <br /> of MTBE and other gasoline oxygenates in MW-3 decreased relative to historic data Through the first <br /> quarter of 2004, the trend has been one of increasing MTBE concentrations in that well Condor <br /> continued to conduct remediation system planning and permitting activities during the second quarter of <br /> 2004 <br /> Condor conducted annual groundwater monitoring activities during the third quarter 2004 at the site on <br /> July 22 and 23, 2004 Depth to water measurements and groundwater samples were collected from <br /> monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-7, MW-9 through MW-12D and SVE well SV-4 Laboratory <br /> analytical results of the groundwater samples indicated that concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> constituents were generally consistent with historical data Contaminant concentrations in the sample <br /> collected from MW-3 increased relative to the previous monitoring event and consistent with an <br /> increasing trend for MTBE in that well Groundwater elevation data indicated a northeast groundwater <br /> gradient generally consistent with historic groundwater gradients The SVE system continued to be out of <br /> service to allow for modifications to the system and property development, and has not been sampled <br /> since December 19, 2002 In a letter dated October 17, 2003, SJCEHD approved the RAP submitted by <br /> Condor dated March 3, 2003 Condor is currently conducting installation of the treatment systems and <br /> anticipates start-up of the systems in October 2004 <br /> Condor conducted groundwater monitoring activities during the fourth quarter 2004 at the site on October <br /> 14, 2004 Depth to water measurements were collected from monitoring wells MW-2 through MW-7, <br /> MW-8 through MW-10, MW-12D, and SVE well SV-4 Groundwater samples were collected from <br /> monitoring wells MW-2 through MW-4, MW-9, MW-12D, and SVE well SV-4 Laboratory analytical <br /> results of the groundwater samples indicated that concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents <br /> were generally consistent with historical data Contaminant concentrations in the sample collected from <br /> MW-3 increased relative to the previous monitoring event and are consistent with an increasing trend for <br /> MTBE in that well Groundwater elevation data indicated a northeast groundwater gradient generally <br /> consistent with historic groundwater gradients The SVE system was returned to service on November 1, <br /> 2005 after modifications to the system and property development <br /> P 11000_prj11707 Canepa11707D Groundwater Momtonng\Reports\Reports12005 QMR12005 1st gtr\appendix\BCanepa's SITE HISTORY doc <br />
