' Canepa's Car Wash <br /> 6230 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> Progress Report on Tank Removal and Fuel Line Leak May 13, 1993 <br /> and Work Plan For Monitoring Wells Page 3 <br /> An application for authority to construct has been made to the San Joaquin Valley Umfied <br />' Air Pollution Control District on behalf of the Canepa's The equipment can be placed on <br /> site but cannot have a permanent connection to the extraction wells until authority to <br /> construct has been granted Operation of the equipment will be granted following the <br /> additional application to operate has been made The application to operate cannot be <br /> made until the authority to construct has been granted <br /> A work plan is also included in this report to install three (3) two inch (2") ground water <br /> monitoring wells on and off site to determine the lateral extent of ground water <br /> I contamination We are also installing one (1) four inch (4") well immediately East of the <br /> fuel island canopy This well will be used in the future to treat ground water as necessary <br /> The wells will be installed an a manner that will allow us to determine ground water <br /> gradient on site and in such a way that ground water contamination should be defined <br /> without the necessity of additional wells Ground water gradient has been determined <br /> using information obtained an Health Department files on nearby contaminated sites Once <br /> the contamination as defined a Problem Assessment Report will be submitted to the <br /> appropriate regulatory agencies The PAR will recommend additional remedial actions of <br /> the PAR report determines further action is indicated The Canepa's are back an full <br /> operation at the site at this time selling fuel and washing cars <br /> The ground water monitoring wells will be installed at night so as not to disrupt the <br /> Inormal operations at the site Grout inspections of the wells by the County Health <br /> Department will be scheduled for early mornings The work plan for the installation of the <br /> monitoring wells is located an the appendices of this report <br /> All pertment information relating to the current status of the site and the proposed <br /> activities at the site as included an this report <br /> 4►� vE FURN "{ <br /> No 01079 o <br /> Steven 7 Furnas, REA <br /> California Registered Environmental Assessor#01079 <br /> OF CAV <br /> �,pOESSIp�Y,a <br /> NU <br /> 22 339 m <br /> A.
