v
Exhibit A
Canepa's Car Wash
May 2, 1996
Page -2-
D) All instrumentation currently available or necessary in the testing and operational phases for the
SVE system.
E) Radius of influence and pore volume exchange rates which may support these values.
F) A schematic representation drawn to scale which clearly identifies current and proposed changes
to the SVE system.
A preliminary copy of the letter report will be presented to the client for review prior to finalization. At
the approval of the client, copies of the final report will be submitted to the PHS/EHD and the CRWQCB.
The report will be signed by a Registered Geologist or Professional Engineer responsible for the work.
TASK 4 - QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND REPORTING:
The PHSIEHD will be notified at least 48 hours prior to each quarterly monitoring event. Condor
will sample groundwater at the site on a quarterly basis for TPH-G, BTEX, and MTBE. The
condition of each monitor well will be inspected during each groundwater monitoring event.
Groundwater elevations will be measured for gradient calculations. Groundwater purged during
the sampling will be stored on site in drums for disposal based on the results of the laboratory
analyses. Disposal will be the responsibility of the property owner.
Condor will prepare Quarterly GroundwaterMonitoring Reports that include groundwater chemistry
data and groundwater gradient calculations. Fieldwork and reporting will follow PHS/EHD and
CRWQCB guidelines and requirements. A preliminary copy of each report will be presented to
the client for approval prior to finalization. The final report will be signed by a Registered
Geologist or Professional Engineer responsible for the work.
COST ESTIMATE
Condor proposes a cost-reimbursement, time-and-materials contract for the performance of the scope of work
described above. The total estimated cost for the SVE system evaluation(Tasks I through 3) is $1,398.00.
The estimated cost for quarterly groundwater monitoring per quarter is $2,937.00.
If necessary, acquisition of permits will be billed on a time and materials basis. Additional work or sample analyses
will increase the overall cost of the project. Any work required beyond the scope of work described herein that
results in additional costs will not be performed without prior authorization from Mr. Remo Canepa,Canepa's Car
Wash.
Canepa%Canepal.EXA
`J CONDOR
