Underground piping at the Facility is routed through a trench(diesel fuel at <br /> the fuel island) or through a conduit(oil distribution to the fuel island) and is <br /> not in contact with soil. <br /> 2. All pipelines will be capped or blank-flanged if they are taken out of service <br /> or are in standby for an extended period of time. <br /> 3. Pipe supports are designed to minimize abrasion and corrosion and allow for <br /> expansion and contraction. <br /> 4. As described in Section 112.8(c)(6),weekly inspections are conducted to <br /> document the condition of all aboveground valves,piping,and <br /> appurtenances. <br /> 5. All piping is located outside of areas where vehicle traffic would occur. The <br /> diesel fuel piping runs in a subgrade trench to the fueling pumps. The bulk <br /> oil distribution lines within the vehicle maintenance shop are overhead. <br /> 23 <br />
