PHSIEHD concurs with your consultants recommendations in the report.
A work plan detailing installation of an A Zone well near the northwest corner of Walnut
and Pacific, a B Zone well near MW9, and C-Sparge wells along the eastern boundary of
the site should be submitted to PHSIEHD by December 17, 2001.
The above report states that approximately 1350 cubic yards of impacted soil was
excavated and removed from the site in 1988. In January 1998 PHSIEHD disputed the
amount of soil that was being reported as having been removed from this site and
requested documentation to support the statement. Until documentation is provided that
shows 1350 cubic yards of soil was excavated and removed from the site it should not
be reported as fact.
If you have any questions contact me at (209) 468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS '
Unit IV
c: SJCADA— David Irey
Union Oil — Michael Buck Esq.
Gettler-Ryan — David Herzog c
CVRWQCB— Marty Hartzell
Helen McCrary
f
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Service
