SAN JOSE <br /> REPORT <br /> SUBSURFACE ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTIGATION <br /> Dormer Unocal Service Station No. 2859 <br /> 1665 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> for Unocal Corporation <br /> DrMODUGnON <br /> At the request of Unocal Corporation (Unocal), Applied GeoSystems has prepared this <br /> report as part of our ongoing subsurface environmental investigation at farmer Unocal <br /> Service Station No. 2859 in Stockton. California. The purpose of this phase of the <br /> investigation was to assess hydrocarbons in the soil near the south margin of the site and <br /> hydrocarbons in ground water downgradient of the site. <br /> This report summarizes previous work conducted at the site and reports our methods, <br /> results, and conclusions associated with our August 1989 investigation. Work included <br /> drilling one onsite boring and two offsite soil borings, converting the offsite borings to <br /> ground-water monitoring wells,and collecting and analyzing soil and ground-water samples. <br /> The work was performed in accordance with the Central Valley Regional Board Staff <br /> Recommendations for Initial Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tanks' Tri- <br /> Regional Recommendations, Central Valley Regional Board Reporting Requirements <br /> (Appendix A);-and-the-Leaking Underground-Fuel Tank-14lanual. --- ---- - ----- --- -- - <br />
