SConsulting Engineers and Geologists G D COP California Fuels August 15 1989 gus , Post Office Box 1201 Stockton, California 95201 Reference 89062 Attention Mr David Atwater General Manager Subject Soil Vapor Survey at Pacific Pride Cardlock Facility, Stockton, California Dear Mr Atwater The purpose of this letter-report is to document the methods of investigation, findings, conclusions, and recommendations developed as part of a preliminary site assessment of the Pacific Pride Cardlock facility located at 2402 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California (Figure 1 - Site Location Map) A soil vapor survey was conducted in the subsurface surrounding the dispenser islands and the three 10,000-gallon underground storage tanks which are currently in use at the facility BACKGROUND The Pacific Pride Cardlock facility owns and operates three underground storage tanks The steel tanks are single walled and each has a capacity of 10,000 gallons The tanks are used to store regular leaded gasoline, unleaded gasoline, and diesel fuel The tanks are believed to be at least 15 years old and have been recently precision tested tight The soil vapor survey was conducted for insurance purposes to assess whether or not the tanks or appurtenant piping have inadvertently released fuel to the environment METHODS OF iNVESTiGATiON Soil Vapor Survey.
