INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr David Atwater of Van De Pol Enterprises,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this work plan addendum for cone penetrometer testing (CPT) for the site <br /> located at 2402 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California The location of the site is illustrated on <br /> Figure 1, a plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> On 11 June 2000, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division <br /> (PHS-EHD) directed by letter (Appendix A) that a work plan be submitted to define the vertical <br /> extent of petroleum contamination in ground water at the site, the vertical extent of petroleum- <br /> impact to ground water has not been defined at the site despite installation of a deeper ground water <br /> monitoring well as reported in Ground Water Monitoring Well Installation Report- Third Quarter <br /> 2000, dated 01 November 2000 The purpose of this proposed investigation is to complete the <br /> delineation of the vertical extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impact and to characterize the <br /> geological and hydro-geological framework on-site This work plan provides a description of the <br /> scope of work and procedures for CPT soil boring advancement and grab ground water sample <br /> . collection and analysis This work plan is prepared in accordance with California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (RWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks <br /> (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The vertical extent of impacted ground water must be determined to comply with the 11 July 2001 <br /> PHS-EHD directive Assessment activities will include the following tasks <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities, <br /> • CPT soil boring advancement, <br /> • Grab ground water sample collection and analysis, <br /> • Report preparation <br /> 2 1 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the PHS-EHD In addition, an update to <br /> the health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety <br /> and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S Environmental <br /> Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,Inc <br />
