' 26 July 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0173 <br /> Page 2of4 <br /> Protection Agency, 1985) Prior to mobilization, the monitoring well location will be clearly marked <br /> and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert <br /> 2 2 CPT DRILLING AND GRAB GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> AGE proposes to drill two groups of CPT soil borings at the site to define the vertical extent of <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted ground water Proposed CPT soil boring locations are illustrated in Figure <br /> 2 <br /> Based on petroleum-impacted soil and ground water encountered during previous investigations, <br /> AGE proposes CPT soil borings in the following locations <br /> • Between 15 to 25 feet east-northeast of groundwater monitoring well MW-1, and <br /> • Between 5 to 15 feet southeast of groundwater monitoring well MW-13 <br /> The CPT borings shall be advanced to approximately 150 feet bsg utilizing a 25-ton truck-mounted <br /> CPT drill rig equipped with 2-inch diameter hollow-stem rods, however, total depths of the borings <br /> may vary in response to hydrogeologic conditions encountered and the results of field screening <br /> during drilling activities <br /> Grab ground water samples will be collected in intervals of porous and permeable material Selected <br /> ground water samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health Services <br /> (DHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) by EPA Methods <br /> 5030/8015M, <br /> • Volatile aromatic compounds (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes BTEX) with <br /> methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE) by EPA Method 8020, and <br /> • Methanol, ethanol, ethylene dibromide (EDB), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), tertiary <br /> butanol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether(RIPE), ethyl tert butyl ether (ETBE), tert amyl methyl <br /> ether(TAME), and confirmation of MTBE by EPA Method 8260 Modified <br /> Laboratory reports for ground water analysis, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality <br /> control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report <br /> with findings and recommendations <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
