will be accomplished by opening select dual phase extraction wells to the
atmosphere.
Ground Water and Soil Vapor Monitoring Program
The ground water and soil vapor monitoring program will be conducted
to:
• Monitor the ground water plume margin to confirm plume control
as a result of ground water extraction;
• Document attainment of treatment objectives for capture and
treatment of the A-zone ground water VOC plume; and,
• Document vadose zone soil remediation as a result of soil vapor
extraction.
The methods for implementing this monitoring program are described in
the following subsections. Appendix C includes the laboratory quality
assurance/quality control procedures for laboratory analysis of samples
collected for the monitoring program.
Ground Water Monitoring
Ground water monitoring will be conducted on a quarterly basis. Ground
water monitoring will include quarterly ground water sampling and
water level monitoring at the following wells:
• Monitoring Wells Outside the Current Limits of the VOC Plume:
MW-7A, MW-11A, MW-12A, MW-12B, and MW-14A; and,
• 'Monitoring Wells within the Current Limits of the VOC Plume:
TW-01, TW-2B, PZ-10, and TW-03.
Ground water samples will be collected at each monitoring well listed
above and analyzed for Total VOCs by EPA Method 8240 and Total
Petroleum Hydrocarbons by EPA Method 8015 modified. Ground water
elevations will be measured at each of these wells. Floating product
measurements will be collected at each source area well (wells TW-01,
TW-2B, PZ10, TW-03).
6-3
