1 <br /> 1 Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2004 <br /> • PACIFIC MINI-MART <br />' 4511 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Art Wyatt, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br />' quarterly report for 4511 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California(the site) This report documents the <br /> operation of a low-flow ground water rernediation system,the procedures for collection and analysis <br />' of ground water samples from the well network after the end of the first quarter and the results of <br /> ground water and treatment system monitoring events Additionally, one ground water extraction <br /> well and three shallow soil vapor wells were installed during the quarter The location of the site is <br />' illustrated on Figure 1 Structures, monitoring well and soil boring locations are illustrated on <br /> Figure 2 The site history and a description of previous work performed at the site are detailed in <br /> Appendix A Data from previous ground water monitoring events are included in the tables of this <br />' report <br />' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> The field procedures were performed in accordance with procedures outlined in Remedial Action <br />' Work Plan,prepared by AGE, dated 22 December 2003, and approved by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) by letter, dated 23 December 2003 <br />' During the last quarter of 2003 through mid-Second Quarter 2004, the ground water extraction <br /> remediation system was monitored and maintained at the site In March 2004 a ground water <br /> monitoring event was performed The work performed at the site also included preparation for soil <br />' vapor extraction (SVE) and expansion of the ground water extraction capabilities <br /> 21 INTERIM REMEDIATION <br />' Between 11 September 2003 and 14 May 2004, the interim ground water pump-and-treat <br /> remediation system was in continuous operation at the site <br /> 2 i i (3round «ruler Extr.—.tlon SYS,ei i Opelmtivn <br />' Extraction well EW-1 was adjusted at the well-head to continuously extract ground water during the <br /> last quarter of 2003 and First Quarter 2004 at an average flow rate of less than 2 gallons per minute <br /> (GPM) The extracted ground water was routed through a ground water treatment system consisting <br /> of granular activated carbon (GAC) and Sunsolve® Following treatment, water was discharged <br /> • underground via 1-inch diameter, schedule 80 polyvinylchloride(PVC)pipe along the west side of <br />' Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc <br /> 1 <br />
