' 06 August 2004 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0128 <br /> Page 2 of 11 <br />' the site to the City of Stockton discharge line located in Rose Mane Lane A diagram of the <br /> remediation system is provided on Figure 2a <br />' Based on effluent flow meter readings (Table 1), approximately 288,091 gallons of treated water <br /> were extracted and discharged to the City of Stockton sewer system during the last quarter of 2003 <br /> and the First Quarter of 2004 under City of Stockton Public Works Department(SPWD)Industnal <br /> Wastewater Discharge Permit No 01 On 01 January 2004, the waste water effluent flow meter <br /> calibration required the modification of the meter total settings The rotation (K) factor setting was <br /> reconfigured by three percent (3%) The result of the setting change reduced the total waste water <br />' discharged from 1,660,797 to 1,612,754 gallons, thus creating an offset of the total discharge of <br /> 48,090 gallons This value will be added to the total gallons discharged during the reporting interval <br />' 2 12 Ground Water Extraction System Water Sampling Procedures <br />' Between September 2003 and May 2004, AGE collected water samples from valved ports located <br /> upstream (Influent) and downstream (effluent) of the treatment unit The influent samples were <br />' . collected in laboratory-supplied 40-milliliter (ml) EPA-approved volatile organic analysis (VOA) <br /> vials containing 0 5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative, and 1-liter amber bottles <br /> without preservative Effluent samples were collected similarly and into 500-milliliter plastic bottles <br /> 1 without preservative Care was taken to ensure that visible air bubbles were not present in the vials <br /> after filling and capping <br />' Water sample containers were labeled with the sample designation,date,time,and sampler's initials <br /> Subsequently,the samples were logged on a chain of custody form,placed in a chilled container and <br /> transported to McCampbell Analytical Inc (MAI) The samples were analyzed for <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and as diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d) by <br /> EPA Method 8015 Modified, and <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene (BTEX) and the fuel additive methyl tertiary- <br /> butyl ether (MTBE) in accordance with EPA Method 8020 or 8260B <br /> In addition, to satisfy SPWD Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permit No 01, the effluent water <br /> samples were analyzed for pH(150 1),with the April sample analyzed for volatile organic analysis <br /> and semi-volatile organic analysis (624/625) and metals (6010) <br /> • <br />' Advanced GcoEnvi ron mental Inc <br /> 1 <br />
