On behalf of the Union Pacific Railroad Company(UPRR),ARCADIS Lisa.Teague@arcadis-us.com <br /> requests an extension until February 28, 2010 to submit comments regarding the <br /> draft Order. Our ref: <br /> RC000709.0601.00019 <br /> As discussed in a conference call held on September 24, 2009 between Mr. Jim Diel <br /> of UPRR, Ms. Lisa Teague of ARCADIS, and you, this extension will allow us to <br /> incorporate additional data that are currently being collected as part of the Site's <br /> Phase II field investigation (ARCADIS, Phase 11 Field Investigation Work Plan, <br /> January 6, 2009). Drilling of the laser-induced fluorescence (LIF)borings began on <br /> October 19 and focuses on delineation of Liquid Phase Hydrocarbon (LPH) in and <br /> near the source area. <br /> The Phase II investigation will also include collection of groundwater data from about <br /> 29 cone penetrometer/HydroPunch® (CPT/HP)borings and from up to five additional, <br /> new monitoring wells. Much of these new groundwater data will be in the transition <br /> zone where little to no data are currently available.
