Based on the supporting information provided, we concur with your request to modify the <br /> monitoring frequency and abandonment of wells shown in Table 1 of the report. The following <br /> wells are proposed for abandonment: MW-03A, MW-03B, MW-03C, MW-17A, MW-17B, MW- <br /> 18A, MW-18B, MW-19A, MW-21AR, and MW-21B. However, continuation of measurement of <br /> water levels and free phase petroleum product thickness is required semi-annually from all other <br /> wells. Please note that further changes to the monitoring frequency may be required based on <br /> review of new information. A draft M&RP is included for your review and comments. Please <br /> provide comments on the draft MRP by 15 February 2002 in order for us to rescind and replace <br /> MRP No. 95-811. <br /> 2. Please submit a workplan for well abandonment for review prior to any abandonment activities. <br /> The procedures for well abandonment must be in accordance with San Joaquin county <br /> requirements. <br /> Specific Comments: <br /> 1.
