5608 N PERSHING AVE
PAGE 9
07-01-92 Monitoring wells MW#2A, MW#4A, MW#5, MW#5A, MW#8, MW#9, MW#10, and
MW#11 were sampled this date. Monitoring wells MW#1,MW#2,MW#3,MW#4,MW#6,
and MW#7 were dry and could not be sampled. Depth to water ranged from approximately
35.7' BGS to 40.3' BGS. Flow direction was to the north northeast.
All wells sampled this event did not detect TPH as gasoline or BTEX at detection limits of
50 ppb and 0.5 ppb, respectively.
09-16-92 Monitoringwells MW#2A,MW#4A,MW#5A,MW#8,MW#9,MW#10,and MW#11 were
sampled this date. Monitoring wells MW#1,MW#2,MW#3,MW#4,MW#5,MW#6,and
MW#7 were dry and could not be sampled. Depth to water ranged from 38.86'to 41.7'BGS.
Flow direction was to the north northeast.
All wells sampled did not detect TPH as gasoline or BTEX at detection limits of 50 ppb and
0.5 ppb, respectively, except for MW#8,which showed TPH as gasoline at 52 ppb, with the
laboratory reporting a single peak in the gasoline range.
10-01-92 PHS/EHD receives a copy of a letter from the property owner to the RP discussing the
cancellation of the lease agreement between them.
1993
01-05-93 Monitoring wells MW#2A,MW#5A,MW#8,MW#9,MW#10,and MW#11 were sampled
this date. Monitoring wells MW#1,MW#2,MW#3,MW#4,MW#4A,MW#5,MW#6,and
MW#7 were dry and, could not be sampled. Depth to water ranged from 35.70' to 39.89'
BGS. Flow direction was to the north northeast.
All wells did not detect TPH as gasoline or BTEX at detection Iimits of 50 ppb and 0.5 ppb,
respectively, except for MW#2A which showed ethylbenzene at 1.1 ppb.
03-16-93 PHS/EHD visits site this date to observe the removal of three gasoline tanks and one waste
oil tank and the attached piping. All four tanks were in excellent condition at the time of
the removal.
WASTE OIL PIT
The waste oil tank showed soil discoloration and odors at the north end and on the western
side wall. These areas were over-excavated to approximately 8-10' BGS and the
contamination was still evident.
FUEL TANK P1T
The gasoline tank pit area appeared to be clean except for the southwest area where the
piping from the dispensers joined the tanks. This area has soil discoloration and odors.
f PIPING
The piping trenches showed no evidence of contamination. Soils were tight clays. PHS/EHD
requested additional probing of the trench area due to the piping release from 1986,but still
no evidence was found.
04-12-93 PHS/EHD receives tank removal results.
