Preliminary Site Assessment Report <br /> ISLAMIC.CENTER OF STOCKTON <br /> 1130 South Pilgrim Street, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mohammad Saeed, representative for the Islamic Center of Stockton,Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared the enclosed Preliminary Site Assessment Report for <br /> Islamic Center of Stockton at 1130 South Pilgrim Street, Stockton, California(site). The scope of <br /> work included advancement of two soil borings, collection of soil and ground water samples, and <br /> preparation of this report. Soil boring advancement procedures were outlined in the AGE-prepared <br /> Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan (Work Plan),dated 04 February 2005. Completion of work <br /> and report preparation was executed in accordance with the.San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (EHD) directive letter, dated 08 April 2005, that approved the Work Plan. <br /> Site location is illustrated on Figure 1. Sampling locations, soil boring locations, and site plans are <br /> depicted in Figure 2. Site Background information' is summarized in Appendix A. Work was <br /> conducted in accordance with Central Valley Region of the Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites. <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Field work was performed in accordance with procedures outlined in the Work Plan. A chronology <br /> of the site investigation is as follows: <br /> • Advancement of soil boring B 1 completed to a total depth of 15 feet below surface grade <br /> (bsg) and discontinued due to refusal by the soil. <br /> • Advancement of soil boring B2 completed to'a total depth of 55 feet and collection of a <br /> ground water sample.' <br /> 2.1. DRILLING <br /> Soil borings were advanced at the site utilizing a van�mounted Geoprobe 5400 direct-push probing <br /> unit equipped with 1.125-inch probing rods. Soil-boring locations and designations are depicted in <br /> Figure 2. <br /> 2.2. SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS <br /> Soil samples were collected from borings at discreet 5400t intervals using a 1.25-inch Geoprobe soil <br /> sampling assembly loaded with four six-inch brass sleeves.For each soil sample collected,both ends <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmentaI,Inc. <br />
