This Workplan describes the scope of work requested <br /> by Caltrans and outlines procedures and methods to be employed by Geocon to complete the I <br /> project. <br /> r <br /> PROJECT LOCATION AND SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The proJect site consists of the Caltrans Lodi Maintenance Station, an equipment maintenance <br /> facility, located at the northeast corner of East Pine Street and the State Highway 99 frontage road f <br /> in Lodi, California. The approximate site location is depicted on the Vicinity Map,,-Figure 1. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> i <br /> 3 <br /> The information included in this section is based on a review of the referenced Task Order and <br /> information provided by Caltrans personnel at the Prework Site visit. The Lodi' Maintenance <br /> Station consists of an equipment building, a gas and oil building, and an office and storage <br /> structures. <br /> It is understood that two fuel underground storage tanks (USTs) were formerly located south of <br /> the gas and oil building. The dispenser island was formerly located east of the gas and oil <br /> building. It is reported by Caltrans that the USTs including one 1;000-gallon diesel UST and one <br /> 1,000-gallon unleaded gasoline UST and associated product piping were removed from the site <br /> on November 30, 1989. Notes prepared by the San Joaquin.County Public Health Services <br /> inspector indicate that "no soil samples taken under tanks" due to the presence of a concrete slab. <br /> The tanks were described as having "no visible holes."
