Water used in mortar and grout shall be taken from a supply distributed for domestic <br /> 25 purposes and at the time of mixing shall be clean and free of acids, alkalies, or other <br /> ' 26 organic materials. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 B. The aggregate used in mortar shall conform to the "Standard Specifications for Aggregate <br /> ' 29 for Masonry Grout ASTM Designation, C-144". <br /> 30 <br /> 31 C. The aggregate for masonry grout shall conform to the "Standard Specification for <br /> 32 Aggregate for Masonry Grout ASTM Designation C-404-61T, Fine Aggregate Size No. 1". <br /> 33 <br /> 34 D. The cement shall conform to the Standard Specification for Portland Cement, ASTM <br /> 35 Designation C-150, Type II Low Alkali. Masonry Cement will not be allowed. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 E. Hydrated Lime. The hydrated lime shall conform to the "Standard Specification for Normal <br /> 38 Finishing Hydrated Lime, ASTM Designation C-207, Type S". <br /> 39 <br /> ao F. Admixtures shall not be used in either mortar or grout except by written consent of the <br /> 4+ Engineer. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 2.02 MORTAR AND GROUT <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Mortar and grout shall conform to 1991 UBC.
