1 <br /> 1 3.02 COORDINATION <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Coordination as required with other trades to assure proper and adequate provision in the <br /> 4 work of those trades for interface with the work of this Section. , <br /> 5 <br /> 6 3.03 INSTALLATION <br /> 7 <br /> 8 A. General: ' <br /> 9 <br /> 10 1. Set work accurately into position, plumb, level, true, and free from rack. <br /> 1 ' <br /> 12 2. Anchor firmly into position. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 3. Where field welding is required, comply with AWS recommended procedures of ' <br /> 15 manual-shielded metal-arc-welding for appearance and quality of weld and for <br /> 16 methods to be used in correcting welding jack. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 4. Grind exposed welds smooth, and touch-up shop prime coats. ' <br /> 19 <br /> 20 5. Do not cut, weld, or abrade surfaces which have been hot-dip galvanized after <br /> 21 fabrication and which are intended for bolted or screwed field connections. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 6. Dissimilar Materials: Where dissimilar metals are in contact, or where aluminum is in <br /> 24 contact with concrete, mortar, masonry, wet or pressure treated wood, or absorptive ' <br /> 25 materials subject to wetting, the surfaces shall be protected with a coat of bituminous <br /> 26 paint conforming to MIL-C-18480 or TT-V-51 or a coat of zinc chromate primer <br /> 27 conforming to TT-P-645 to prevent galvanic or corrosive action. <br /> 28 '29 7. Materials and parts necessary to complete each item, even though such work is not <br /> 30 definitely shown or specified, shall be included. All bolts, anchors, supports, braces, <br /> 31 connection and other items necessary for completion of the miscellaneous metalwork <br /> 32 shall be provided. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 B. Immediately after erection, clean the field welds, bolted connections, and abraded areas of <br /> 35 shop priming.
