Section 08710: Finish Hardware <br /> 21 <br /> 22 1.03 STANDARD AND INDUSTRY SPECIFICATIONS <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Except as herein modified, all work shall conform to Steel Door Institute (SDI) "Technical <br /> 25 Data Series 100". <br /> ' 26 <br /> 27 1.04 SUBMITTALS <br /> 26 <br /> 29 A. In accordance with Section 01300. <br /> ' 30 <br /> 31 B. Submit for approval in accordance with following requirements: Indicate dimensions, <br /> 32 gauges, profiles, joint construction, location and gauge of hardware reinforcement; door <br /> 33 clearances; and shop finishes. Certify and indicate that the doors conform to the <br /> 34 requirements of the Steel Door Institute. <br /> 35 <br /> ' 36 PART 2: MATERIALS <br /> 37 <br /> 36 2.01 GENERAL <br /> 39 <br /> ' 40 A. Factory prefit hollow metal doors to their respective pressed metal frames. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 B. Prepare hollow metal doors and pressed metal frames at factory for installation of hardware <br /> 43 and windows. Welding of hinges to frames is not permitted. Mortise, reinforce, drill and <br /> 44 tap doors and frames to template to receive mortised hardware. Provide reinforcing plates <br /> 45 for surface applied hardware. Reinforcing shall be concealed. Use of bolts or rivets for <br /> 46 reinforcement is not permitted. Preparation for hardware shall conform to ANSI A115 where <br /> 47 applicable, except reinforcing for butts shall be minimum 3/16-inch thick, and except that <br /> 4e reinforcing for closers and applied hardware shall be of size and location as required for <br /> 49 specific hardware to be installed.
