I C. Key Control - All keys on entire project will be under a key control system, including doors <br /> 2 for the Housed Chemical Systems (3 buildings). Keys for any locked item supplied under <br /> 3 this section shall be placed in Kraft stock key gathering envelopes, furnished by Key <br /> ' 4 Control System Manufacturer, which shall have typewritten thereon the following information: <br /> 5 item number, key change number, building location, door number, grand masterkeys and <br /> 6 masterkeys by which cylinder is passed, and such other relative keying as may be indicated <br /> ' 7 in keying schedule. Envelopes, with keys therein, shall be delivered, via registered mail, <br /> 8 to Owner's representative as designated by Engineer. <br /> 9 <br /> io D. Upon completion of project, key blocks shall be removed from cylinders with special <br /> 11 removal tool. Removal of key blocks shall be under supervision of Agency's representative <br /> 12 as designated by Engineer. Cylinders shall be checked for proper operation and keying <br /> 13 with permanent keys. All keys shall then be returned to key gathering envelopes and <br /> 14 turned over to Agency's representative. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 E. Failure to comply with any or all of the foregoing Project Security requirements shall <br /> ' 17 constitute grounds for rejection of entire keying system, and Contractor, if so directed by <br /> 18 Engineer, shall, at Contractor's expense, replace all key cores with a complete new system <br /> 19 of cores keyed by lock manufacturer to an entirely new, registered, system, and in such <br /> zo manner as directed by Engineer to provide project security specified. <br /> ' zt <br /> zz F Kevs and Keving - Locks for each building shall be keyed alike and shall be keyed to a <br /> 23 grand master key system as directed by the Engineer.
