i <br /> i1 SECTION 11313 <br /> 2 <br /> i 3 SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> ' s <br /> 7 PART 1: GENERAL <br /> 8 <br /> i 9 1.01 DESCRIPTION: <br /> 10 <br /> 11 The work of this section consists of furnishing and installing three raw sewage pumps, two <br /> 12 filter pumps, and one emergency pond pump. <br /> i 13 <br /> 14 1.02 RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE <br /> 15 <br /> i 16 A. Division 16: Electrical <br /> 17 <br /> 18 1.03 SUBMITTALS: <br /> 19 <br /> ' 20 A. In accordance with Section 01300. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 B. Manufacturer's literature and certificates of compliance with these and referenced <br /> i 23 specifications. Submit data regarding pump and motor characteristics and performance. <br /> 24 The data shall include performance curves which show that the units meet the specified <br /> 25 requirements for head, capacity, efficiency, and horsepower for the capacities specified. <br /> ' 26 <br /> 27 C. Manufacturer's installation instructions, parts list, and operating and maintenance <br /> 28 instructions. <br /> 29 <br /> i 30 1.04 PUMP TEST <br /> 31 <br /> 32 The pump manufacturer shall perform the following inspections and test on each pump <br /> i 33 before shipment from factory: <br /> 34 <br /> 35 A. Impeller, motor rating and electrical connections shall first be checked for compliance <br /> 36 with these specifications. <br /> i 37 <br /> 38 B. A motor and cable insulation test for moisture content or insulation defects shall be <br /> 39 made. <br /> i 40 <br /> 41 C. Prior to submergence, the pump shall be run dry to establish correct rotation and <br /> 42 mechanical integrity. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 D. The pump shall be run for 30 minutes submerged, a minimum of six (6) feet under <br /> 45 water. <br /> 46 <br /> i 47 E.
