Thoroughly clean items before installation. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 3. Show no tool marks or threads on exposed plated, polished, or enameled connections <br /> ' 24 from fixtures. Tape all finished surfaces to prevent damage during construction. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 4. In all cases where plumbing fixtures are mounted on or against building walls of <br /> 27 concrete or other materials having relatively rough or non-planer surfaces, it shall be <br /> 28 the responsibility of this contractor to provide any necessary grout or backing materials <br /> 29 required to facilitate fixture mounting and eliminate void spaces between fixtures and <br /> 30 wall to ensure adequate bearing contact. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 5. Make connections between fixtures and flanges on soil pipe with absolutely gas-tight <br /> 33 and watertight bowl wax. Rubber gaskets or putty will not be allowed. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 B. Plumbing Fixture Hangers and Supports: Install wall-hung lavatory in stud wall with <br /> 36 concealed arms and floor support, with feet of support securely anchored to floor.
