1 <br /> SECTION 16000 <br /> ELECTRICAL <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> ' 1.1 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> A. The Contractor shall install, ready for use, the electrical system as specified herein and shown <br /> on the Contract drawings. This document describes the function and operation of the system <br /> and particular components, but does not necessarily describe all necessary devices. All <br /> ' components and devices shall be furnished and installed as required to provide a complete <br /> operable and reliable system for accomplishing the functions and meeting the performance set <br /> forth hereinafter. <br /> ' B. Furnish all required labor, materials, project equipment, tools, construction equipment, safety <br /> ' equipment,transportation, test equipment,incidentals, and services to provide a complete and <br /> operational electrical system as shown on the Drawings, included in these Specifications, or <br /> required for fully operating facilities. <br /> C. The major areas in the scope of work which includes both the furnishing and installation are: <br /> 1. Main 400 amp, 480 VAC, 3 phase utility metering, transformer pad, and underground <br /> service. <br /> 2. Power distribution panel, fighting panel "A", transformer "A" and the automatic transfer <br /> switch(ATS). <br /> 3. Instrumentation system including float switches, magnetic flowmeter, annunciator, and <br /> dialer. <br /> 4. Building lighting and receptacles. <br /> 5. Area lighting. <br /> 6. Miscellaneous conduits,junction boxes, pull boxes, field interconnection wiring, and <br /> associated hardware for the new treatment plant. <br /> 7.
