C. The Contractor shall cooperate with the Owner and provide assistance for the inspection of <br /> the electrical system under this Contract. The Contractor shall remove covers, provide access, <br /> ' operate equipment, and perform other reasonable work which, in the opinion of the Owner, <br /> will be necessary to determine the quality and adequacy of the work. <br /> 1.8 JOB CONDITIONS <br /> A. The Contractor shall make all arrangements and pay the costs thereof for temporary services <br /> ' required during construction of the project, such as temporary electrical power and telephone <br /> service.Upon completion of the project, remove all temporary services, equipment, material <br /> ' and wiring from the site as the property of the Contractor. <br /> B. The Contractor shall provide adequate protection for all equipment and materials during <br /> shipment, storage and construction. Equipment and materials shall be completely covered <br /> with two layers of plastic and set on cribbing six inches above grade so that they are protected <br /> from weather, wind, dust, water, or construction operations. Equipment shall not be stored <br /> outdoors without the approval of the Owner. Where equipment is stored or installed in moist <br /> areas, such as unheated buildings, provide an acceptable means to prevent moisture damage, <br /> such as a uniformly distributed heat source to prevent condensation. <br /> ' C. The elevation of the project site is approximately 25 feet above sea level. All equipment shall <br /> be derated as recommended by the manufacturer or in accordance with ANSI C37.30. <br /> ' D. The normal outdoor, not in direct sunlight, ambient temperature range of the job site will vary <br /> between 20 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit, the indoor normal controlled temperature range will <br /> ' vary between 40 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. All equipment shall be rated to operate in these <br /> temperature ranges or provisions, at no additional cost. <br /> 1.9 UTILITY SERVICES <br /> A. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to make all equipment approval arrangements and <br /> scheduling with the power Utility company connected with this project. <br /> B. The following lists some of the Contractors responsibilities: <br /> 1. Ensure that the metering equipment installation is in accordance with requirements of <br /> ' Utility power company by submitting drawings, sketches, catalog information, and <br /> other appropriate material for power company approval. <br /> ' 2. Obtain from the Utility power company the location, dimensions, construction methods, <br /> and mounting arrangements for new electrical service. <br /> ' ELECTRICAL <br /> 16000 - 9 <br />
