X❑
Impact Discussion:
The proposed project will establish a commercial cannabis cultivation and distribution facility. The California Energy Code
(also titled The Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Non-residential Buildings)was created by the California
Building Standards Commission in response to a legislative mandate to reduce California's energy consumption. The
code's purpose is to advance the state's energy policy, develop renewable energy sources and prepare for energy
emergencies. These standards are updated periodically by the California Energy Commission. The code includes energy
conservation standards applicable to most buildings throughout California. These requirements will be applicable to the
proposed project, and will be triggered at the time of building permit application, ensuring that any impact to the
environment due to wasteful, inefficient, or unnecessary consumption of energy will be less than significant and
preventing any conflict with state or local plans for energy efficiency and renewable energy.
PA-1900243 (UP) $ PA-2000023 (DA)— Initial Study 12
