Report completed on December 16, 2010. Checklist <br /> left on site at time of inspe tion. Violations # 25 & 30 have been added. <br /> Class 11 violations: 17, 20, 2' , 27, 50, 52, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64) <br /> 7. In room 111, an open 10 0 mL glass beaker of white powder labeled NaOH was observed. In <br /> building E, broken pieces o glass covered in unknown chemicals were observed in the sharps <br /> containers. According to t e science teachers, chemical buffers are being poured down the sink after <br /> use. According to the woo shop teacher, solvent & lacquer soaked rags and other materials are being <br /> disposed of in the trash or i the auto shop oily rags. Metal fines were observed on the ground next to <br /> equipment outside the ag S op. No hazardous waste determination has been made for these wastes. <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Metal particles <br /> 100 microns or smaller mu t be handled as hazardous waste if the metal is determined to be a <br /> hazardous waste. Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for these wastes, and manage it <br /> according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation <br /> explaining how these wastes were managed by January 16, 2011. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 20. The following containers of hazardous waste were observed without labels: <br /> Auto Shop - 55 gall n drumlof used floor sweep <br /> - 30 gallon white)poly drum of unknown waste <br /> - 55 gallon metal drum of waste coolant <br /> - (4) 55 gallon m tal drums of unknown waste <br /> - 20 gallon meta drum of unknown waste, labeled "gear lube" <br /> Theater - 6 shelves�f wast paint cans <br /> Room 132, counter f chem cals, labeled "Discard," including the containers of the following: <br /> - (7) 1 gallon me al cans of spirit fluid - ammonium sulfite <br /> - can of unknowr waste - iron & ammonium sulfate <br /> - sodium acetate - 25 Ib. container of sodium acetate, trihydrate <br /> - magnesium oxi Je - urea <br /> - sodium phosphate - various jars with unknown chemical residue <br /> - sodium bisulfat6 <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE($122). <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPE TION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector: �6,ved By: Title: <br /> EHD 23-02- 3 08/10/10 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
