An empty 55 gallon metal drum labeled "paint related material" was observed in the storage room of <br /> the wood shop. According)to the wood shop teacher, this container has been there for several years. <br /> Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked as empty <br /> with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and <br /> manage all empty containers according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. <br /> 57. Manifest number 0044 0183JJK was sent under an incorrect EPA ID number and generator & site <br /> address. A temporary ID number CAC002642685 was used for this manifest, with a site and generator <br /> address of 311 E. 11 th St. Tracy. No buildings or other property could be located for this address. A <br /> generator who transports, x offers for transportation, hazardous waste, shall prepare a manifest in <br /> accordance with Title 22 r gulations, including the generator's correct EPA ID number and the correct <br /> address information. Immediately make all necessary corrections and notifications with DTSC to ensure <br /> that all wastes are properly identified under the correct EPA ID number and addresses. Submit a copy <br /> of the notification made to DTSC, to the EHD by January 16, 2011. Ensure that all future hazardous <br /> waste is handled under the correct EPA ID number and generator address. <br /> 79. Used fluorescent bulbs, were observed stored open and uncontainerized. Universal waste lamps <br /> shall be contained in a clo ed container or package that is structurally sound, adequate to prevent <br /> breakage, and compatible with the contents of the lamp. Immediately containerize all universal waste <br /> fluorescent lamps/bulbs in accordance with Title 22 regulations. <br /> 83. Used fluorescent bulbs were observed unlabeled in the ag shop, theater storage area, and the <br /> custodial room. A printer was observed in room 132 labeled "junk" with no universal waste labeling. A <br /> used aerosol can was observed unlabeled, discarded on the ground in the ag shop yard. A generator <br /> shall label or mark universal waste with the words 'Universal Waste' and the type of waste (alkaline <br /> batteries, mercury containing equipment, fluorescent bulbs, electronic devices, CRTs, aerosol cans). <br /> Immediately label these wastes and ensure that all universal wastes are labeled with the required <br /> information. <br /> 84. Facility was unable to demonstrate the amount of time used fluorescent bulbs, aerosol cans, and <br /> electronic waste were stor d on site. A universal waste generator shall accumulate universal waste for <br /> no longer than one year from the date the waste was generated.
